IVF ROPA Method is an in vitro fertilization treatment applicable to women with a female partner. This method, also known as dual maternity, means “Reception of Ovocytes from Partner”. With this assisted reproduction technique, eggs are donated from one woman to the other; the future pregnant mother. This way, you both participate in the gestation process and you are both actively involved in the creation and birth of the baby.
Both woman play a decisive role, one will be a biological mother (providing the ovum) and the other will be a pregnant mother (the one who becomes pregnant and gives birth). This process is usually performed as an IVF with sperm donor (taking an anonymous donor).
The roles that each mom is taking has to be discussed with the medical staff and depending on reproductive health of both of you, we will suggest the best way to follow the treatment.
